Goodbye 2015 and hello 2016! ICYMI here‘s my review of change, my word for 2015. After careful consideration, and several nudges from the Holy Spirit, I selected my guiding word for the year.
My one word for 2016 is BOLD. This word came to me repeatedly in different ways in December, and it is the perfect follow up to change.
At first I questioned if this was the “right” type of word. I decided to write it down along with other words that I was considering. Then it came to me again as I watched The War Room. I thought to myself that it takes boldness to pursue a Spirit-led life & your dreams, & I want to be that bold. <–Click to tweet. As I continued watching the movie, I received the photo above from my friend. After reading it I knew God was saying YES, Stacy I am calling you to live a life of boldness!
I am called to believe boldly. Believe in His word. Trust in His character. To walk by faith and not by sight. To know in my head and in my heart that God’s word and His promises are true!
I am called to pray boldly. In the words of Pastor Mark Batterson, bold prayers honor God, and God honors bold prayers. I want to live a life of faith and believe my God will answer my biggest and boldest prayers! I want to walk in my full identity in Christ as a prayer warrior and a daughter of the King.
I am called to step out boldly. God has put dreams in my heart and now is the time for me to step out and take action! Acting on where he leads me even before the full picture is formed. I want to boldly trust that He goes before me in everything He has tasked me with doing.
Learning to be BOLD is learning to fight…for myself. for my voice. for my dreams. for God’s promises & plans for me. To stand up. To speak out. To not shrink back.
With that in mind, my scripture for 2016 is:
The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions. – Proverbs 28:1 NLT
Excited for the journey of boldness in 2016!
